HTC One (m8) Mini leaked ahead of official launch

A leaked image has teased yet another impending variant of the HTC One (m8) handset, this time a smaller version expected to be called the HTC One (m8) Mini.
The HTC One (m8) is the company's current flagship device, launched earlier this year to critical acclaim - in part because of its metal unibody design, clever dual camera system and powerful processor. It's a considerable upgrade from the original HTC One, but the company isn't resting on its laurels. Rumours circulating of a raft of spin-off devices in the works including the cheaper HTC M8 Ace and the high-end HTC One (m8) Prime.
One spin-off that has already been teased is the HTC One (m8) Mini, leaked back in Feburary ahead of n expected MWC unveiling. The specifications at the time pointed to a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera missing the dual lens system of its bigger brother, and 16GB of storage expandable via a micro-SD card slot. The display would apparently be a 4.5in LCD with a 1,280x720 resolution.
The MWC event came and went without the handset being unveiled, however. Now, a picture purporting to be a press image of the as-yet unannounced HTC One (m8) Mini has been posted to Chinese social networking site Wiebo, suggesting that an announcement is just around the corner.
HTC, as is usual for the company, has not commented on the leaked image, with formal availability and pricing yet to be revealed.
